Ensembles Combining Winds and Strings
The Great Lakes Trio and Great Lakes Quartet are chamber ensembles combining both wind and string instruments. Our Trios and Quartets have performed many concerts, private parties, weddings and church services throughout the Detroit area. Examples of our ensembles include:
- Flute, Oboe, and Cello, with optional piano or harpsichord
- Oboe, Violin, and Cello, with optional piano or harpsichord
- Flute or Oboe or Clarinet, with Violin, Viola and Cello
- Oboe and/or Trumpet and String Trio or String Quartet (violins, viola and cello)
- Two Oboes with Cello and Piano or Harpsichord
- Oboe and Harp, with optional additional winds or strings (violin, flute, etc.)
Our Baroque Ensembles perform the music of the Baroque on modern instruments, such as:
- Winds: Flutes, Oboes, Bassoons, Trumpets, and Horns
- Strings: Violins, Violas, Cellos, Basses, Harp
- Harpsichord or other Keyboard
